Alumicor launches a new and improved website!

Alumicor’s upgraded website offers a new and refreshing look. In addition there are some enhancements that will permit users of Alumicor products and services to keep their information database current.
Web users will find updated product information in the products section of the website and can access AutoCad drawings in .dwg format for most of our products.
If you have a hardcopy of the Alumicor product manual you can now check for updates by clicking on the “Update your Alumicor Catalogue” link. Only catalogues with pages dated May 2006 or later can be updated through this source. If your Alumicor catalogue pre-dates this, please contact your Alumicor representative or click on the “Request an Alumicor Catalogue” link.
Sale of Company

As Alumicor approaches its 50th anniversary, we are very pleased to announce the purchase of the company by a private investment group lead by Mr. Barry Wood.
Mr. Wood, a Canadian businessman, assumed the role of President and CEO in July of this year. Mr. Wood is a director of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (“AME”) Canadian region and is currently the Chair, TNR Industrial Doors Inc.
Mr. Wood brings a wealth of manufacturing and marketing experience to our company. Alumicor’s product dealers, designers and end users can expect some exciting changes to our product lines, services and corporate structure intended to ensure Alumicor will continue to provide outstanding products and services to its targeted end markets.
50 Best once again!

Alumicor has been selected once again as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, competing against applicants from all industries for the calendar year 2006. This is the 4th year in a row that the company has been recognized as one of Canada’s 50 Best. Outgoing President & CEO, Lakis Georgiou, who retired on December 31st/06, after being Alumicor’s CEO for almost 18 years and newly appointed President & CEO, Don Weaver, a 19 year Executive of the company, both thanked the customers, employees and suppliers of the company for the company’s on-going success. This milestone achievement was recognized at a gala at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto, Ontario on February 12th, 2007 and covered by the National Post on February 7th/07.
Mr. Georgiou will stay on Alumicor’s Board as a Director. “It’s been a thrill to have worked with the best team in the business” said Georgiou. “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead” said Weaver.

Alumicor Limited was recognized again as a 50 Best Managed Company in Canada for the 3rd year in a row by the sponsors of this National competition. A gala celebrating this event was held at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto on February 6th, 2006. Our competitive advantage continues to be our people," said Lakis Georgiou, President & CEO.
